Round 1 "Vulkan" throws a cross that easily dodged by Du Plessis. Christopher narrowly dodges a cross from "Vulkan", but falls catching him in his guard. "Ozymandias" is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Wulzhan. "Ozymandias" sinks a kimura, but cannot finish. He settles for a switch into mount. "Vulkan" attempts to buck "Ozymandias" off from mount but "Ozymandias" keeps his base and maintains position. "Ozymandias" postures up and begins to fire off rapid shots from mount but Karimov tripods up and sweeps him over to his back. Karimov quickly gets himself to mount. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Christopher fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Wulzhan. Du Plessis works to Karimovs back while standing. Du Plessis throws a couple of outside shots until Wulzhan is able to work his way back to the clinch. Christopher Du Plessis dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with "Vulkan" standing over him. "Vulkan" attempts to drop a fist on "Ozymandias", but misses and lands in his guard. Christopher fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Wulzhan Karimov. "Ozymandias" attempts a kimura from the bottom. Wulzhan Karimov blocks the attempt and smothers "Ozymandias" who transitions to an armbar attempt. Wulzhan Karimov is able to defend this as well and works back into guard. Wulzhan Karimov tries to move to half guard but Christopher uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. "Ozymandias" fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Wulzhan Karimov. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Christopher Du Plessis connects with a series of punches forcing Wulzhan into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. "Vulkan" takes the back of "Ozymandias" who works for a kimura. "Vulkan" pulls his arm out of the hold and push "Ozymandias" away. "Ozymandias" connects with numerous jabs to the face of Karimov. "Ozymandiass" legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Christopher Du Plessis hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Karimov. Karimov throws a hard jab but Du Plessis throws a cross right over the top that knocks Karimov to the ground. Christopher Du Plessis attempts to drop a fist on "Vulkan", but misses and lands in his guard.Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 "Vulkan" hits an uppercut to the head of Christopher Du Plessis followed by a hard hook. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. "Ozymandias" tries to hyperextend the knee of Karimov with a kick to the kneecap. Karimov hops back to avoid it. Du Plessis feints a takedown attempt and connects with a left hook dropping Wulzhan. Du Plessis dives into guard. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 Wulzhan Karimov hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Du Plessis drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "Vulkan" sets a guillotine choke but Du Plessis slips out at the last moment. Du Plessis is now caught in guard. Wulzhan Karimov backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Karimov parries a right jab and lands a beautiful crescent kick, striking the ribs. Wulzhan connects with a sweeping kick at the leg of Du Plessis. Christopher Du Plessis tries to find his distance but "Vulkan" is able to land two looping hooks that stun Christopher Du Plessis, who warily backs away. Round 5 comes to a close.
