Round 1 Chiam connects with a hard punch making Barney bring him in to a tight clinch. Combs works to Chiam Gaos back while standing. Combs throws a couple of outside shots until Chiam Gao is able to work his way back to the clinch. Chiam attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with "The Carney " standing over him. Barney Combs attempts to drop a fist on "Melee Malay", but misses and lands in his guard. "Melee Malay" keeps his head down in the chest of Combs to avoid any submission attempts. "Melee Malay" leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. Gao attempts to lock an omoplata, but Barney is able to muscle his way back to the guard. Chiam locks a triangle but Barney Combs defends well. Chiam decides to let go of the hold. Chiam Gao begins to work the rubber guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Gao works to Barneys back while standing. Gao throws a couple of outside shots until Barney Combs is able to work his way back to the clinch. Barney works Gao into the cage from the clinch. Barney presses his head under "Melee Malays" chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. "The Carney " drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Barney Combs pushes down Chiam Gaos leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Combs slips out of half guard and into side control. Gao sweeps over Combs and quickly obtains mount position. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 A welt begins to form under Barney Combss eye after a strong cross-hook landed from "Melee Malay". Combs is hit with a jab and then taken down with a strong trip takedown. Chiam stands up with Barney Combs still holding guard. As Barney Combs releases his guard Chiam spins to a kneebar but it is too shallow. Chiam takes couple of shots to the head. The fighters scramble to standing position. Chiam snaps back the head of Barney Combs with a stiff jab. "The Carney " catches a leg kick from Gao, and puts him on the mat. Chiam begins to posture on his side. Combs lands a couple of outside hooks and Chiam returns to the guard. Chiam sinks a kimura fromt he bottom but cannot finish. He rolls Combs over to gain mount but Combs is able to achieve half guard with a great scramble. Chiam releases the kimura. Combs is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Chiam Gao throws a cross that easily dodged by "The Carney ". Combs throws a few jabs at Gao that miss the mark. Gao connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Barney Combs. A looping right hook from "The Carney " sends Chiam to the mat. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 "Melee Malay" hits an uppercut to the head of "The Carney " followed by a hard hook. Combs narrowly dodges a cross from "Melee Malay", but falls catching him in his guard. Barney Combs is pummeled by some well timed bombs from "Melee Malay". Chiam attempts to drop bombs while caught in the guard, but Barney Combs takes the chance to switch Chiam over to mount him. Combs punishes Chiam with a series of strikes from the mount. "Melee Malay" bucks off Barney and both fighters get to their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
