Egami connects with a jab cross combination. A wild hook from Yoichi Egami is ducked by Lloyd who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Egami secures his position. Yoichi begins to lose position so switches back to side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Eilers staggers back, then surprises Yoichi Egami with a powerful superman punch. Lloyd Eilers circles Yoichi, keeping him at bay with quick strikes. Eilers snaps back the head of Egami with a stiff jab. Eilers is hit with two hard punches to his face. Eilers laughs off the punches. Yoichi is staggered by a jab to the chin. Egami drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Lloyd Eilers sets a guillotine choke but Egami slips out at the last moment. Egami is now caught in guard. Eilers attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Yoichi is dizzied on his feet from a furious punching sequence from Lloyd Eilers. Egami hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Lloyd Eilers. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Lloyd Eilers wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Egami.Round 5 comes to a close.
