Round 1 Julien pushes away from Beau Mitchell and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. After dodging a jab, Julien lands a kick to the ribs of Beau who winces in pain. Beau lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Julien. Mitchell hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Abel connects with a hard jab as Mitchell attempts a wide outside hook. Beau Mitchell narrowly dodges a cross from Julien, but falls catching him in his guard. Beau gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Mitchell pulls the foot in of Abel using leverage to sweep him into side control. Abel sneaks a leg back under the body of Beau Mitchell to achieve a defensive half guard. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Abel attempts to press in but Beau Mitchell uses a inside reaping to put Abel on the canvas. Beau Mitchell hops to side control. Beau Mitchell slides his knee across the body of Julien Abel and takes full mount. Julien shifts his head and hips to keep Beau off balance and unable to land strikes. Round 5 Beau Mitchell connects with a series of punches forcing Julien into a clinch. Julien Abel lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Julien attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Beau Mitchell pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Julien parries a right jab and lands a beautiful crescent kick, striking the ribs. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Abel circles Mitchell, mixing jabs and leg kicks. The round comes to an end.
