Round 1 Jay is struck by some looping punches and kicks and goes for the clinch to shorten the distance. Tiago welcomes the clinch landing a lead knee and a powerful elbow. Then pushes Jay back to striking distance. Tiago Gonzalez connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Jay Haynes weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Jay Haynes attempts to press in on Gonzalez but is met with powerful inside-leg kicks. Tiago dodges a jab and clinches with Haynes, delivering a knee as he does so. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Jay Haynes connects with numerous jabs to the face of "Thailand". A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by Jay. Tiago Gonzalez is able to pull him into his guard. Jay attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Tiago Gonzalez slips out of it at the last moment. "Thailand" is caught off guard by a kneebar attempt from Haynes. "Thailand" struggles out of the lock and attempts to scramble. Haynes is too quick and lunges forward to take half guard. Jay Haynes slams his knee into Tiagos ribs. Jay attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Gonzalez gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Jay slips out of half guard and into side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Tiago circles Jay, landing jabs at will. "Thailand" sends Haynes to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Tiago Gonzalez dodges a few strikes from Jay and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Jay sinks a deep kimura, but Tiago Gonzalez slides out. This gives Jay the chance to switch to half guard. Tiago Gonzalez tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Jay Haynes hits an upward elbow on Tiago Gonzalez, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Tiago Gonzalez takes side control. Jay gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Jay Haynes slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. A trip to the ground allows Tiago Gonzalez to move into the guard of Jay Haynes. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Jay Haynes tries to hyperextend the knee of Tiago with a kick to the kneecap. Tiago hops back to avoid it. Tiago Gonzalez hits an uppercut to the head of Jay followed by a hard hook. Tiago Gonzalez is staggered by a jab to the chin. Jay Haynes winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Jay attempts a jab but is countered by a hard right leg kick to the knee. Jay Haynes snaps back the head of "Thailand" with a stiff jab. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 Jay Haynes is staggered by a jab to the chin. Tiago Gonzalez connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Jay Haynes hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Jay wraps around Gonzalezs waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control The round comes to an end.
