Round 1 Vladik connects with a right that puts David off balance tumbling to the mat, as Vladik towers over him. Vladik stands over David Ramirez, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. David Ramirez is able to grab an arm and pull Vladik into his guard. Vladik passes through "El Silbons" guard into mount. Afanasyev telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but "El Silbon" gives up his back to stop the attempt. Ramirez tries to explode out the backdoor but Afanasyev sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Ramirez falls flat to protect himself. "The Chiropractor" peppers shot to the head of Ramirez looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Ramirez is hand playing well. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Vladik Afanasyev parries David Ramirezs jab and lands an uppercut. "The Chiropractor" lands a hook to the body. Ramirez connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Afanasyev. Afanasyev blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. David tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. Both fighters begin to exchange Vladik Afanasyev catches Ramirez with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Ramirez gather himself. Ramirez says he is ok and the fight continues. Afanasyev connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of "El Silbon". Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 David Ramirez hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Vladik Afanasyev feints and follows up with a hard crossto the head of David. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. "The Chiropractor" snaps back the head of David with a stiff jab. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range.Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Ramirez grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow to the head of Afanasyev. David locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Vladik. "El Silbon" attempts to grab the plum but is hit by an aggressive uppercut from Afanasyev. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Vladik is defended well by "El Silbon". Vladik grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Vladik returns to the clinch. "The Chiropractor" recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. David connects with a series of punches forcing Vladik Afanasyev into a clinch. "El Silbon" attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Afanasyevs strikes. A full foot sweep knocks Afanasyev to the ground. Vladik Afanasyev thrusts his leg into David Ramirezs knee while grounded. David Ramirez lays into Vladik with some stomps. Vladik can't handle it as the ref stops the fight.
