Round 1 A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by Lou. Julien Abel is able to pull him into his guard. Abel is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. Lou Simmons sits up in Juliens open guard and spins to an leg lock. Julien Abel is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Simmons connects with jab cross combination. Lou connects with numerous jabs to the face of Abel. Lou connects with a hard right hand putting Julien on the mat. Lou goes down with him into side control. Simmons lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Julien sneaks a leg back under the body of Lou to achieve a defensive half guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Simmons hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Julien Abel. Julien throws a cross that easily dodged by Simmons. Simmons executes a single leg giving him the back of Abel. Lou Simmons peppers shot to the head of Julien looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Julien is hand playing well. Julien starts to wiggle out of back control, Lou lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Lou keeps Julien at a distance with some well timed jabs. Simmons throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Abel is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Round 2 is finished.

Simmons parries Juliens jab and connect with a cross. Julien Abel is staggered by a jab to the chin.Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Abel connects with a teep to the face of Lou Simmons. Abel tries to hyperextend the knee of Lou with a kick to the kneecap. Lou hops back to avoid it. Lou Simmons is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Abel explodes forward with a push kick that puts Lou Simmons on the canvas. Julien Abel kicks at the legs of Lou and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Lou to stand. Lou Simmons begins a combination but Julien Abel ducks down, picking Lous leg. Julien Abel lifts Lous leg as high as he can and throws a sweeping leg kick. Julien stands over Lou Simmons, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Lou Simmons cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Julien Abel kicks at the legs of Simmons and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Simmons to stand. Lou Simmons parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Abel wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Lou. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 Julien Abel sends Lou to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Julien Abel passes through Lous guard into mount. Round 5 is over.
