Round 1 Ward throws a hard jab but Lucas throws a cross right over the top rocking Ward. A welt begins to form under Wards eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Moore. Lucas Moore sprawls a takedown attempt from Dave Ward. Dave Ward eats several punches on the way back to his feet. "Pipe Bomb" eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Moore. Moore throws a few jabs at Ward that miss the mark. Moore shoots for a single leg but Dave Ward is able to hop away, defending well. Moore takes the opportunity to execute a double-ankle pick and work to half guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Dave connects with a jab cross combination. Lucas throws a few jabs at "Pipe Bomb" that miss the mark. Dave throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Lucas Moore puts Dave on the mat giving his back up. Lucas Moore tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Dave Ward starts to wiggle out of back control, Moore lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Ward winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. "Pipe Bomb" is hit with a jab taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Lucas is able to push to half guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 "Pipe Bomb" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Lucas Moore throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Ward is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Lucas Moore stuffs a shot from Dave and lands several shots to his body. Dave attempts to pull guard but Lucas Moore makes it to side mount. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 "Pipe Bomb" buckles Lucas Moore with a kick. "Pipe Bomb" rushes forward to grab a guillotine, then falls to guard. Lucas Moore is in trouble but is able to muscles his way out of the choke. Lucas dodges a few strikes from Dave Ward and lands an elbow followed by a hammerfist. Lucas takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in "Pipe Bombs" guard. It doesn't pay off as Dave Ward makes his way to standing. Lucas throws a few jabs at Dave that miss the mark. Ward takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Ward shoots but Lucas stuffs it, eventually using a whizzer to work to side control. Dave Ward takes a few knees to the body while under Moores side control. Dave sneaks a leg back under the body of Lucas Moore to achieve a defensive half guard. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Lucas Moore parries a jab but is hit with a powerful knee to the midsection. Moore fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "Pipe Bomb". Ward connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Lucas is dazed on the mat. Ward throws a short kick to the downed Moore. Moore takes the chance to rise back to his feet. A looping right hook from Ward sends Lucas to the mat. Ward chucks Lucass legs to a side to attempt a soccer kick but misses and he elects to sprawl into side control. Dave delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Lucas Moore to turn over. Dave takes the back. Round 5 is over.
