Round 1 "Thailand" hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Daniel connects with a series of punches forcing Tiago Gonzalez into a clinch. "Thailand" connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Daniel is dazed on the mat. Tiago lays into Daniels thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Daniel does so. Gonzalez and "San" begin to trade strikes. "San" lands a jab, cross. Gonzalez connects with a body shot followed by a hook. Gonzalez gains a muay-thai clinch and lands some hard hooks. He then pulls "Sans" head to a strong knee strike, knocking him to the floor. "Thailand" hovers over Daniel pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. "Thailand" throws the leg aside and takes side control. "San" sneaks a leg back under the body of Gonzalez to achieve a defensive half guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Daniel Cheng is cut open under the eye by a standing elbow strike. "San" connects with a series of punches forcing Gonzalez into a clinch. Cheng receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Tiago. Tiago stomps the feet of Daniel Cheng. Tiago takes Daniel Chengs back standing. Cheng isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Tiago lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Cheng to release. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "San" works to Gonzalezs back while standing. "San" throws a couple of outside shots until "Thailand" is able to work his way back to the clinch. "San" attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with "Thailand" standing over him. Daniel Cheng thrusts his leg into Tiago Gonzalezs knee while grounded. A solid kick bruises the leg of Daniel. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Cheng attempts to clinch, but Gonzalez connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Cheng fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Tiago Gonzalez. Daniel uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Tiago Gonzalez attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Tiago Gonzalez locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of "San". "Thailand" grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts Cheng on the floor. Tiago Gonzalez hovers over Daniel pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Tiago Gonzalez throws the leg aside and takes side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Gonzalez throws a hard leg kick but is checked by "San". Tiago Gonzalez connects with a hard punch making Daniel Cheng bring him in to a tight clinch. Daniel Cheng drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Tiago sets a guillotine choke but Daniel Cheng slips out at the last moment. Daniel Cheng is now caught in guard. "Thailand" attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. "Thailand" connects with a series of punches forcing Daniel Cheng into a clinch. Daniel dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Tiago Gonzalez standing over him. "Thailand" hovers over "San" pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. "San" sends a hard up kick that rocks "Thailand". "San" stands back up. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Gonzalez lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Daniel connects with a strong body shot combo. Cheng attempts a jab but is countered by a hard right leg kick to the knee and is instantly followed by an upward elbow strike that rocks him. A welt begins to form under Tiago Gonzalezs eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Daniel. "Thailand" throws a hard jab but Daniel throws a cross right over the top rocking "Thailand". The round comes to an end.
