Round 1
The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. A trip to the ground allows Justin Stevenson to move into the guard of Mashinda Makoni. Mashinda Makoni fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Justin. Mashinda Makoni is caught off guard by a kneebar attempt from Justin. Mashinda Makoni struggles out of the lock and attempts to scramble. Justin is too quick and lunges forward to take half guard. Mashinda holds the head of Justin Stevenson close to avoid shots. Justin Stevenson slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Justin Stevenson slips out of half guard and into side control. Makoni gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Mashinda Makoni slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Makoni fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing "The Choir Boy" to the cage. "The Choir Boy" swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Makoni feints a takedown attempt and connects with a left hook dropping Stevenson. Makoni dives into guard. Makoni attempts to pass Stevensons guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. Justin Stevenson gives his back up trying to escape the mount. "The Choir Boy" is able to make it back to the standing position. A trip to the ground allows Mashinda Makoni to move into the guard of Justin. Mashinda Makoni passes through "The Choir Boys" guard into mount. Stevenson gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Makoni works his arm around the neck of "The Choir Boy" attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but "The Choir Boy" hand fights well. Mashinda sets in a rear naked choke. Justin taps out.
