Round 1 Julien Abel pushes away from Eugene and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Julien lands a double jab. Julien Abel throws a kick to the midsection of "BeastMode". Abel is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Eugene Turcotte tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Abel that puts him on the floor. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Abel tries to stop a shot with a punch but Eugene plows through Juliens attempt and ends up in guard. "BeastMode" pushes down Juliens leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Julien holds the head of Turcotte close to avoid shots. Turcotte slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Eugene presses his foot onto the thigh of Abel to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Turcotte wraps the arm of Julien Abel behind his back and traps it. Turcotte pounds away with shots to the face. Julien sneaks a leg back under the body of Turcotte to achieve a defensive half guard. Julien tries to scramble out of half guard, but "BeastMode" takes his back during it. "BeastMode" lands a double punch to the head of Julien Abel. Eugene works his arm around the neck of Abel attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Abel hand fights well. Abel spins through into the guard of Eugene. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 "BeastMode" connects with a hard punch making Julien Abel bring him in to a tight clinch. Julien Abel places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Julien attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Eugene pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Julien circles away from Turcotte, landing strong kicks to the lead leg. Eugene Turcotte is struck by a ball kick from Julien that opens him up for a push kick to the midsection. Eugene Turcotte tries to hyperextend the knee of Julien with a kick to the kneecap. Julien hops back to avoid it. Julien is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Eugene Turcotte tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Julien that puts him on the floor. Julien Abel hovers over Turcotte pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Julien Abel throws the leg aside and takes side control.Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Eugene Turcotte fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Julien Abel to the cage. Julien Abel swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Julien gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Julien tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Abel hits an upward elbow on "BeastMode", and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though "BeastMode" takes side control. Eugene attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Julien for his troubles. Abel sneaks a leg back under the body of "BeastMode" to achieve a defensive half guard. Abel tries to scramble out of half guard, but "BeastMode" takes his back during it. Julien tries to stand up but Eugene plants him back down with several strikes. Eugene Turcotte peppers Abel with several shots to the face. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 Abel lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Julien Abel shuffles away from Eugenes strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Eugene backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Abel is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Turcotte tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Abel that puts him on the floor. Julien lays into "BeastModes" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Eugene does so. Eugene Turcotte attempts a takedown but slips, and Julien backs away. Julien is standing over Eugene Turcotte. Abel lands a strong heel spike on the quadriceps of Eugene. Julien Abel kicks at the legs of "BeastMode" and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells "BeastMode" to stand. Julien Abel lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Eugene Turcotte. Julien Abel then switch kicks Eugene Turcotte on the opposing rib. Eugene Turcotte hits an uppercut to the head of Julien Abel followed by a hard hook. Round 5 is over.
