Round 1 Elkins tries to hyperextend the knee of Gonzalez with a kick to the kneecap. Gonzalez hops back to avoid it. Gonzalez presses forward, grabbing the plum and lands a strong hook, buckling Sal to the mat. Gonzalez follows him into the guard. Tiago Gonzalez drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. A couple of hard outside strikes opens up Sal Elkinss guard and Gonzalez is able to move to half guard. Sal defends short shots well by turning his head. Gonzalez attempts to get a leg free to pass but Sal has it locked down too well. "Thailand" presses his foot onto the thigh of Elkins to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Round 2 Tiago Gonzalez connects with a strong body shot combo. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Thailand" tries to scramble out of half guard, but Sal takes his back during it. Gonzalez carefully protects himself from Sal Elkinss strikes. Sal Elkins begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Gonzalez rolls to being mounted instead. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Sal hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Tiago Gonzalez. Sal Elkins lands a double jab. Sal tries to hyperextend the knee of Gonzalez with a kick to the kneecap. Gonzalez hops back to avoid it. Tiago gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back.
