Round 1
"The punisher" connects with a series of punches forcing Chiam into a clinch. Eric Clevenger works Chiam into the cage from the clinch. Eric Clevenger presses his head under Chiam Gaos chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. "Melee Malay" recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. A shot catches "Melee Malay" off balance and off guard. Eric Clevenger spears him but can only manage to make it to guard. Chiam is caught in a can opener and opens his guard. He lands two quick strikes but Eric Clevenger transitions to half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
"The punisher" tries to hyperextend the knee of Chiam with a kick to the kneecap. Chiam hops back to avoid it. Clevenger ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Gao and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. "The punisher" connects with jab cross combination. "The punisher" stuffs a shot from Chiam and lands some powerful outside hammerfists, eventually taking side mount. Eric throws a knee into Chiams ribs. "Melee Malay" tries to scramble to escape any more punishment but gives up his back in the process. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Melee Malay" throws a solid knee to the jaw of Eric. "Melee Malay" attempts to grab the plum but is tripped to the floor by Clevenger who lands in his guard. Round 3 is over.

Round 4
Gao throws a push kick. Eric Clevenger shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Chiams nose. Chiam presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Eric Clevenger, aggressively pulling guard. Chiam Gao begins to posture on his side. Eric Clevenger lands a couple of outside hooks and Chiam Gao returns to the guard. Chop shots lands on Clevengers face but he lowers his head, pushes his hand through Gaos guard and chucks him to his side. Clevenger moves to side control. Eric Clevenger slides his knee across the body of Chiam and takes full mount. Chiam bucks off Eric Clevenger sweeping him to his back and slickly transitions to side control.Round 4 comes to a close.

Round 5
Chiam connects with a hard punch making "The punisher" bring him in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Chiam Gao takes the back of Clevenger who works for a kimura. Chiam Gao pulls his arm out of the hold and push Clevenger away. Chiam keeps Clevenger at a distance with some well timed jabs. Chiam Gao hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Both fighters begin to exchange Chiam Gao catches Eric Clevenger with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Eric Clevenger gather himself. Eric Clevenger says he is ok and the fight continues. A lazy leg kick from Eric is caught by Chiam Gao who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Eric. Chiam Gao stands over Eric Clevenger, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Eric Clevenger is able to grab an arm and pull Chiam Gao into his guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
