Round 1 Nathan Cox connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. After dodging a jab-cross, Cox lands a kick to the liver of Cheng who steps back and begins to take a knee. Cox rushes forward to capitalize but Cheng stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. "DBA" blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. "San" tries to press the action but is met with a jab-cross then an uppercut that puts him to on the floor. Nathan kicks at the legs of "San" and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells "San" to stand. Nathan and Cheng begin to trade strikes. Cheng lands a jab, cross. Nathan connects with a body shot followed by a hook. Nathan gains a muay-thai clinch and lands some hard hooks. He then pulls Daniel Chengs head to a strong knee strike, knocking him to the floor. "DBA" kicks at the thighs of Daniel Cheng. Cox lays into "Sans" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Daniel Cheng does so. "San" is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines "San" can continue. "San" winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Cox throws a hard jab but Daniel throws a cross right over the top rocking Cox. A trip to the ground allows Cheng to move into the guard of Nathan. Daniel drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. A kimura attempt is defended well by Daniel Cheng and he is able to sneak his leg through Nathan Coxs loose guard, to half guard. Daniel peppers shot to the head of "DBA" looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but "DBA" is hand playing well. "DBA" starts to wiggle out of back control, Daniel lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Daniel throws a hard jab but "DBA" throws a cross right over the top rocking Daniel. Round 3 is over.
Round 4 "DBA" connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Daniel Cheng hunts down his opponent and throws 2 heavy haymakers that get nothing but air. "DBA" throws a push kick. Cheng shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Nathans nose.
Nathan Cox gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Daniel begins to look for a rear naked choke, but "DBA" rolls to being mounted instead. Nathan shifts his head and hips to keep Daniel off balance and unable to land strikes. Nathan attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Cheng connects with a series of punches forcing Nathan Cox into a clinch. Daniel works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Cox attempts a takedown from the clinch, but "San" pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Daniel presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Nathan, aggressively pulling guard. Cheng is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Cheng connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Daniel Cheng locks a triangle but Nathan defends well. Daniel Cheng continues the attempt but finally decides to let go. Nathans face is red from the choke and sits low in the guard to catch his breath. Cheng connects with several chop shots from the bottom. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
