Round 1 "Little Mac" throws a few jabs at Tadashi that miss the mark. Tadashi Akimoto narrowly dodges a cross from "Little Mac", but falls catching him in his guard. A right hand from Tadashi Akimoto while in guard angers Barry who returns the favor with a powerful right hand. Tadashi Akimoto slides his body to the side and pushes out of guard. Barry McCarthy grabs a guillotine hold and forces Tadashi Akimoto back down gaining side control. Barry slides his knee across the body of Akimoto and takes full mount. Tadashi attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Barry splits Akimotos nose open with a well timed punch. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Tadashi connects with numerous jabs to the face of McCarthy. Akimoto connects with numerous jabs to the face of Barry McCarthy. Tadashi dives in for a leg and threatens quickly with a leg lock. Barry McCarthy falls back to his back giving Tadashi the opening to jump into dominant half guard. "Little Mac" is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. McCarthy begins to posture on his side. Akimoto lands a couple of outside hooks and McCarthy returns to the guard. Akimoto pushes down Barrys leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Barry tries to scramble out of half guard, but Tadashi Akimoto takes his back during it. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 A trip to the ground allows Barry to move into the guard of Tadashi. McCarthy frees a leg and moves into half guard. "Little Mac" opens a cut over the eye of Akimoto. The doctor takes a look at it, and says he's okay to continue. Barry presses his foot onto the thigh of Tadashi Akimoto to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Barry lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Barry drops some hammer fists on Akimoto. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 McCarthy connects with a hard punch making Akimoto bring him in to a tight clinch. Barry McCarthy is in the clinch with Tadashi, and changes levels for a beautiful double leg takedown. Akimoto is struck with a devastating elbow while working guard. A cut open over his left eye. McCarthy hits him with two more powerful elbows. Blood pours into Tadashis eye. The ref stops the fight and the doctor says Akimoto cannot continue.
