Round 1 Braxton hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Herod fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing "Logan" to the cage. "Logan" swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. A right hand from Curtis while in guard angers Kalil who returns the favor with a powerful right hand. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Kalil Herod and he traps Curtiss extended leg to move to half guard. Curtis defends short shots well by turning his head. Kalil attempts to get a leg free to pass but Curtis has it locked down too well. Kalil Herod wraps the arm of Braxton Curtis behind his back and traps it. Kalil Herod pounds away with shots to the face. Kalil attempts a step back pass but he forgets to control the head of "Logan" who takes advantage and grabs back control. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Herod is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Braxton drops a huge strike to Kalils chin, landing into his guard. Curtis passes through Herods guard into mount. Braxton Curtis telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Herod gives up his back to stop the attempt. Kalil carefully protects himself from Braxton Curtiss strikes. "Logan" peppers shot to the head of Herod looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Herod is hand playing well. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 A couple of powerful body shots forces Kalil back to the cage. Braxton swims to double underhooks. Kalil cannot stop Braxton from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Herod slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Kalil narrowly dodges a cross from Braxton Curtis, but falls catching him in his guard. Round 4 "Logan" plows through Kalil Herod with a driving double leg takedown. Braxton drops a few strong punches, opening up Kalils guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Herod gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Kalil Herod starts to wiggle out of back control, Curtis lets him escape putting them both on their feet. "Logan" sends Kalil Herod to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Braxton Curtis takes advantage of a mental laps from Kalil and moves into full mount. Herod gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Curtis tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Round 5 A trip to the ground allows Kalil to move into the guard of Braxton. Kalil Herod pushes down Braxton Curtiss leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Kalil Herod is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Braxton Curtis pulls Kalil Herod close to avoid a flurry of strikes. "Logan" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Kalil peppers Braxton with several shots to the face. Braxton Curtis tripods up, causing Kalil Herod to fall forward. As Kalil Herod tries to scramble up Braxton Curtis lands a lunging hook, putting Kalil Herod on the ground stunned. Braxton Curtis takes Herods guard. The round comes to an end.
