Round 1 Ibarra parries Brent Uphams jab and connect with a cross. The fighters circle each other. Ibarra throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Upham is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Fran connects with a strong right hook. Brent connects with numerous jabs to the face of Fran. "Death Note" fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Brent to the cage. Brent swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Brent shoots a takedown from a distance putting Ibarra on the ground. A couple of hard outside strikes opens up "Death Notes" guard and Brent Upham is able to move to half guard. Ibarra tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Upham presses his foot onto the thigh of Ibarra to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Brent Upham wraps the arm of Ibarra behind his back and traps it. Brent Upham pounds away with shots to the face. Brent Upham moves to north-south position. Fran begins to roll out from under Brent Upham but Brent Upham is able scramble to "Death Notes" back. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Ibarra connects with jab cross combination. Brent Upham connects with jab cross combination. "Death Note" works Brent into the cage, swimming for double underhooks. "Death Note" presses his head into Brents chest, forcing him to the ground. Round 3 is over.
Round 4 "Death Note" connects with a hard punch making "Beat Em" bring him in to a tight clinch. Upham works to Ibarras back while standing. Upham throws a couple of outside shots until "Death Note" is able to work his way back to the clinch. Ibarra takes Brent Uphams back standing. Ibarra lifts up Upham and dumps him on his back, taking side control. Fran Ibarra attempts to drop a fist on Brent, but misses and lands in his guard. Fran Ibarra drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Brent Upham fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of "Death Note". Upham dodges some ground strikes from Fran, and sends a few back of his own. Upham backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 A trip to the ground allows Upham to move into the guard of Ibarra. Brent drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Round 5 is over.
