Round 1 A welt begins to form under Martims eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Nurmagomedov. "Future Man" sends Martim Vargas to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. "Future Man" opens up the guard and rises back to his feet. Nurmagomedov kicks at the legs of Martim Vargas and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Martim Vargas to stand. A trip to the ground allows Sevastian to move into the guard of Martim. "Rusev" attempts to lock in an armbar from the guard. "Future Man" narrowly avoids it, but allows for "Rusev" to take mount. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Both fighters begin to exchange Sevastian catches Vargas with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Vargas gather himself. Vargas says he is ok and the fight continues. "Future Man" throws a few jabs at "Rusev" that miss the mark. Nurmagomedov circles Martim Vargas, mixing jabs with body shots. "Future Man" connects with a strong right hook. A looping right hook from Nurmagomedov sends Martim to the mat. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 "Future Man" connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Martim. Sevastian Nurmagomedov catches a leg kick from "Rusev", and puts him on the mat. Nurmagomedov opens up the guard and rises back to his feet. "Future Man" lays into Martim Vargass thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Martim Vargas does so. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Sevastian Nurmagomedov is staggered by a jab to the chin. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Sevastian drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Vargas connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 Nurmagomedov hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Sevastian circles Martim Vargas, landing jabs and crosses at will. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Vargas drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "Future Man" sets a guillotine choke but Vargas slips out at the last moment. Vargas is now caught in guard. Sevastian attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Martim connects with a strong body shot combo. The fighters circle each other. Sevastian connects with a right that puts Martim off balance tumbling to the mat, as Sevastian towers over him.Round 5 comes to a close.
