Round 1 Sevastian Nurmagomedov sprawls a takedown attempt from Tadashi Akimoto. Tadashi Akimoto eats several punches on the way back to his feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Sevastian attempts to grab the plum but Akimoto takes the opportunity to attain double underhooks and take down Sevastian. Akimoto takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in "Future Mans" guard. It doesn't pay off as "Future Man" makes his way to standing. A shot is side stepped by Tadashi Akimoto but quick reflexes and footwork lead to a second attempt that takes down Tadashi Akimoto. "Future Man" settles into his guard. Akimoto attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Nurmagomedov slips out at the last moment. A tight body triangle from the bottom position forces Sevastian Nurmagomedov to pull Tadashi Akimoto close. Sevastian Nurmagomedov is having trouble breathing in Akimotos guard. Tadashi works the rubber guard on Sevastian, eventually allowing an omaplata to be set in. Sevastian quickly taps out.
