Round 1 Epple throws a hard jab but "Young Brock II" throws a cross right over the top rocking Epple. Lemma grabs a single leg and pushes Epple to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. Lemma switches to a double leg but Epple does a good job of keeping his base. Hakim lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Bruce works Hakim into the cage from the clinch. Bruce presses his head under "Young Brock IIs" chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Hakim escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Lemma dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Lemma catches a leg kick from Bruce Epple, and puts him on the mat. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Hakim Lemma connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Hakim Lemma is hit with two hard punches to his face. Hakim Lemma laughs off the punches. Bruce winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Lemma snaps back the head of Bruce Epple with a stiff jab. Bruce fakes an overhand and is able to take down Lemma with a double ankle pick.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 The fighters circle each other. A trip to the ground allows "Young Brock II" to move into the guard of Bruce. Bruce goes for a kimura from the bottom, but "Young Brock II" slips out at the last second. Bruce gets his arm underneath the neck of Lemma while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Bruce applies pressure forcing Lemma to tumble over giving Bruce mount. Epple maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Hakim arches his body up to buck off Epple from mount. A scramble takes place leading to both fighters back to their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Bruce Epple connects with numerous jabs to the face of Hakim Lemma. Bruce Epple presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Lemma, aggressively pulling guard. Bruce is cut under his eye by a hard overhand from Hakim while utilizing the guard. Epple tries to slide out of guard, but a scramble ensues. Hakim ends up mounted by Epple. Bruce Epple maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Bruce punishes Hakim with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 A trip to the ground allows Hakim to move into the guard of Epple. Hakim Lemma takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Bruces guard. It doesn't pay off as Bruce makes his way to standing. Bruce connects with a hard punch making Hakim Lemma bring him in to a tight clinch. Lemma works to Epples back while standing. Lemma throws a couple of outside shots until Bruce is able to work his way back to the clinch. While tied up Bruce Epple executes a shoulder throw giving him dominant side control. Lemma sneaks a leg back under the body of Bruce Epple to achieve a defensive half guard. Round 5 is over.
