Round 1 Charito Gonzalez circles Pat Jenkins, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Pat Jenkins is hit with a jab and then taken down with a strong trip takedown. Pat lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Pat gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Pat Jenkins tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Gonzalez slips out of half guard and into side control. Pat Jenkins gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Pat Jenkins starts to wiggle out of back control, Charito lets him escape putting them both on their feet. A couple of powerful body shots forces Pat back to the corner. Gonzalez swims to double underhooks. Pat cannot stop Gonzalez from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Pat Jenkins takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. The fighters circle each other. Charito connects with a strong right hook. Pat stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Charito lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Charito dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Pat Jenkins standing over him. Jenkins attempts to drop a fist on Charito Gonzalez, but misses and lands in his guard. Gonzalez shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Charito Gonzalez dodges some ground strikes from Pat, and sends a few back of his own. Charito connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Charito Gonzalez attempts a few a shots from the guard, but gets mounted for his troubles. The round comes to an end.
