Round 1 Koichi Miwa connects with a series of punches forcing "FREAK OF NATURE" into a clinch. "FREAK OF NATURE" attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Koichis strikes. Mendez attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Koichi Miwa pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Mendez is staggered by a jab to the chin. Tomasito keeps Koichi at a distance with some well timed jabs. Miwa connects with a strong right hook. Koichi Miwa connects with a right that puts Tomasito off balance tumbling to the mat, as Koichi Miwa towers over him. Koichi Miwa lays into Tomasito with some stomps. Tomasito can't handle it as the ref stops the fight.
