Round 1
Sam Griffin shoots but Shiotani stuffs it, eventually using a whizzer to work to side control. Shiotani slides his knee across the body of Sam Griffin and takes full mount. Sam Griffin attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Hiroyuki Shiotani telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Sam Griffin gives up his back to stop the attempt. Sam Griffin carefully protects himself from Hiroyukis strikes. Hiroyuki Shiotani peppers Sam Griffin with several shots to the face. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
Sam Griffin strikes with a straight front kick. Sam Griffin is staggered by a jab to the chin. Hiroyuki parries Sam Griffins jab and connect with a cross. Hiroyuki circles Sam Griffin, mixing jabs with body shots. Sam throws a cross that easily dodged by Shiotani. Sam takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Hiroyuki circles Sam Griffin, landing jabs at will. Shiotani snaps back the head of Griffin with a stiff jab. "Tsunami" ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Griffin to the mat, and his back. Hiroyuki tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Sam Griffin starts to wiggle out of back control, "Tsunami" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. "Tsunami" circles Sam, landing jabs at will. After dodging a jab-cross, Sam Griffin lands a kick to the liver of Shiotani who steps back and begins to take a knee. Sam Griffin rushes forward to capitalize but Shiotani stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
