Round 1 Bernie dodges a jab and throws a knee to the midsection of Collins. Austin Collinss legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Bernie Ryan connects with a right that puts Austin off balance tumbling to the mat, as Bernie Ryan towers over him. Bernie Ryan lays into Austins thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Austin does so. Austin begins a combination but Bernie Ryan ducks down, picking Austins leg. Bernie Ryan lifts Austins leg as high as he can and throws a sweeping leg kick. A solid kick bruises the leg of Collins. Bernie Ryan lays into Austin Collinss thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Collins does so. Bernie circles Austin, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Bernie lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Collins. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Bernie Ryan works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Collins escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Collins takes Bernie down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Bernie. Austin attempts to drop a fist on Ryan, but misses and lands in his guard. Bernie Ryan backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Bernie narrowly dodges a cross from Austin Collins, but falls catching him in his guard. Austin Collins drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Austin Collins drops a few strong punches, opening up Ryans guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by Bernie, but Collins is able to muscle through for a takedown. Austin Collins passes through Ryans guard into mount. Collins telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Bernie Ryan gives up his back to stop the attempt. Bernie Ryan is able to make it back to the standing position. Austin Collins sends Bernie to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Collins drops a few strong punches, opening up Bernie Ryans guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Bernie Ryan gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Austin Collins peppers Bernie with several shots to the face. Bernie Ryan eats a few stiff shots from Austin, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
