Round 1 Shane connects with a strong right hook. Elkins narrowly dodges a cross from Shane Scott, but falls catching him in his guard. Shane Scott dodges a few strikes from Elkins and cuts him over his eye with a axe-handle strike. Elkins is starting to bleed over his left eye. Elkins sinks a deep kimura, but Shane slides out. This gives Elkins the chance to switch to half guard. Scott drops an elbow onto the forehead of Hugh Elkins. Shane slams his knee into Elkinss ribs. Shane Scott slips out of half guard and into side control. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Shane fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Hugh. Shane Scott receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. While tied up, Hugh Elkins is met with a hard uppercut. A looping right hook from Scott sends Hugh Elkins to the mat. Shane Scott drops a huge strike to Elkinss chin, landing into his guard. Scott takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Elkinss guard. It doesn't pay off as Hugh Elkins makes his way to standing. Shane works Hugh into a corner, swimming for double underhooks. Shane presses his head into Hugh Elkinss chest, forcing him to the ground. Scott knocks the wind out of Hugh Elkins with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. Hugh sinks a kimura, but cannot finish. He settles for a switch into mount.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Scott loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Hugh for the mistake. Hugh has side control. Elkins slides his knee across the body of "O" and takes full mount. Scott shifts his head and hips to keep Hugh Elkins off balance and unable to land strikes. Shane gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Hugh peppers Shane Scott with several shots to the face. Hugh Elkins tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. The bell signals the end of round 3.
