Maurice Bailey attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Bart St-Pierre pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Maurice is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. St-Pierre drops a huge strike to Maurice Baileys chin, landing into his guard. Bart St-Pierre takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Baileys guard. It doesn't pay off as Maurice makes his way to standing. Bart St-Pierre works Maurice into a corner, swimming for double underhooks. Bart St-Pierre presses his head into Maurices chest, forcing him to the ground. Bart St-Pierre drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Maurice is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. The round comes to an end.
