Round 1 Rip Colon snaps back the head of Nachito Medina with a stiff jab. "ped" catches a leg kick from Medina, and puts him on the mat. Nachito Medina dodges some ground strikes from Colon, and sends a few back of his own. An heel strike attempt is dodged by "ped" and he traps Nachito Medinas extended leg to move to half guard. Nachito Medina tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. "ped" slips out of half guard and into side control. Nachito gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Nachito Medina starts to wiggle out of back control, Rip lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Rip fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Nachito. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Nachito Medina stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Medina works for a triangle but "ped" throws Nachito Medinas straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Colon tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Rip Colon slips out of half guard and into side control. Medina takes a few knees to the body while under "peds" side control. Medina gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Colon is staggered by a jab to the chin. Medina connects with a series of punches forcing Rip into a clinch. Colon spikes Nachito Medina into the mat with a powerful slam takedown. Nachito Medina attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Colon narrowly dodges a cross from Medina, but falls catching him in his guard. Nachito Medina dodges a few strikes from Rip and lands an elbow followed by a hammerfist. Medina tries to pass guard but Colon stops him with a well timed punch. Rip lands a stiff elbow while on his back. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Medina circles Rip Colon, landing jabs at will. Rip Colon plows through Nachito with a driving double leg takedown. Colon attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Medina slips out of it at the last moment. "ped" defends a triangle attempt, throwing Medinas straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Medina is able to hold him to half guard. Rip Colon tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Rip slips out of half guard and into side control. Medina gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Nachito starts to wiggle out of back control, "ped" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Nachito Medina takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Colon narrowly dodges a cross from Nachito, but falls catching him in his guard. Colon gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Nachito Medina is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Colon shifts his head and hips to keep Nachito Medina off balance and unable to land strikes. Rip gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Colon carefully protects himself from Nachitos strikes. Nachito lands one solid shot the chin. Colon goes limp and it's over.
