After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Maykov gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Nelson grabs the plum and tosses Pavel to the ground. Nelson attempts to drop a fist on Maykov, but misses and lands in his guard. Maykov begins to work the rubber guard. Pavel is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Brook dodges a few strikes from Pavel and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Pavel works the rubber guard on Brook Nelson, eventually allowing an omaplata to be set in. Brook Nelson quickly taps out.
