Round 1 Hernandez parries "Golden Boys" jab and connect with a cross. Hernandez catches a leg kick from Jodoin, and puts him on the mat. Nicolas Hernandez attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Nelson Jodoin slips out of it at the last moment. Nelson works for a triangle but Nicolas throws Nelson Jodoins straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Nicolas Hernandez tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Round 2 "Golden Boy" lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Hernandez. Nicolas Hernandez narrowly dodges a cross from "Golden Boy", but falls catching him in his guard. Hernandez shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Nelson Jodoin attempts to drop bombs while caught in the guard, but Nicolas Hernandez takes the chance to switch Nelson Jodoin over to mount him. Nelson Jodoin attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Nicolas maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Jodoin narrowly dodges a cross from Hernandez, but falls catching him in his guard. Nicolas Hernandez passes through Jodoins guard into mount. Jodoin gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Jodoin starts to wiggle out of back control, Hernandez lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Jodoin narrowly dodges a cross from Nicolas, but falls catching him in his guard. Hernandez drops a few strong punches, opening up Jodoins guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. "Golden Boy" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. "Golden Boy" carefully protects himself from Nicolass strikes. Nelson attempts to stand up, but Nicolas throws his leg over, setting an armbar. Nelson taps out.
