Quiniones gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Brandon Quiniones starts to wiggle out of back control, Williams lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Nathan Williams takes a punch while shooting but executes the takedown and ends up in Brandons guard. Nathan Williams passes through Brandon Quinioness guard into mount. Williams telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Brandon gives up his back to stop the attempt. Quiniones carefully protects himself from Williamss strikes. Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Williams works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Brandon attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Williams pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Williams takes Brandon down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Brandon. Nathan Williams drops a huge strike to Brandon Quinioness chin, landing into his guard. "Eddy Gordo" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Brandons guard. It doesn't pay off as Brandon Quiniones makes his way to standing. Nathan Williams attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Nathan Williams narrowly dodges a cross from Brandon Quiniones, but falls catching him in his guard. Nathan is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Quiniones. Quiniones tries to pass guard but Nathan stops him with a well timed punch. Round 3 comes to a close.
