Round 1
Edwin Long comes forward, throwing a short hook that distracts "The Cuban Nightmare". Edwin Long then grabs an overhook and uses a small outside-hook throw and takes side control. Edwin slides his knee across the body of Nico Cruz and takes full mount. "The Cuban Nightmare" attempts to escape mount but has no luck. "The Cuban Nightmare" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Edwin tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Nico starts to wiggle out of back control, Long lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Cruz stuff a shot from Long and lands several shots to the body. Long attempts to pull guard but Cruz pushes his way to half guard. Nico slips out of half guard and into side control. Long takes a few knees to the body while under Nicos side control. Long gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Nico Cruz spins around to take it, Long makes his way back to his feet. Nico Cruz sends Long to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Edwin Long connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. While caught in the guard, Cruz opens up a cut on Edwin with a devestating elbow. Edwin works for a triangle but Nico Cruz throws Edwin Longs straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. The round comes to an end.

Round 3
"The Cuban Nightmare" wraps around Longs waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control "The Cuban Nightmare" slides his knee across the body of Edwin and takes full mount. Nico throws some outside strikes at Edwin Long. Edwin gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Edwin Long tries to explode out the backdoor but Nico Cruz sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Edwin Long falls flat to protect himself. Cruz lands a series of heavy punches forcing Edwin Long to roll to his back, giving Cruz mount. Round 3 is finished.
