Round 1 Watson throws a kick to the midsection of Ed. A left high kick from Grant keeps Ed Stevenson at bay. Ed Stevenson moves in to press the action, but Watson lands a heavy back kick. Ed is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Grant Watson chips away at Ed Stevenson with a series of kicks to the legs. After dodging a jab, Grant lands a kick to the ribs of Ed Stevenson who winces in pain. Stevenson lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Grant Watson is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Stevenson presses forward landing a couple more strikes, but Grant Watson survives the onslaught with well timed blocks. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Grant Watson drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Ed sets a guillotine choke but Grant Watson slips out at the last moment. Grant Watson is now caught in guard. Ed attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. A strong elbow forces "El Templo" to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Stevenson lays into Watsons thighs with some well timed kicks while Grant is grounded. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Ed Stevenson connects with a series of punches forcing "El Templo" into a clinch. An attempt at a clinch takedown from Stevenson is defended well by Grant Watson. Stevenson grabs an overhook, steps to the side to land two haymaker body shots, then an uppercut. Stevenson returns to the clinch. Ed Stevenson grabs the plum and pulls "El Templos" face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Ed Stevenson lets go of the hold and lands a hook. Grant is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Grant parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. Grant lands a solid kick to the front leg of Ed Stevenson. Ed circles Grant, then lans a push kick that knocks him to the floor. Ed Stevenson dances around Grant Watsons legs and lands a powerful soccer kick to the head. The round comes to an end.
