Round 1
Tancredo Souza circles Garret, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Jones is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Garret Jones goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Tancredo Souza slips out at the last second. A kimura attempt from Garret is countered by a punch from Tancredo, who then transitions to half guard. Souza drops an elbow onto the forehead of Jones. Garret tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Souza opens a cut over the eye of Jones. The doctor takes a look at it, and says he's okay to continue. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Tancredo Souza fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Jones. Tancredo Souza lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Garret escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Garret Jones presses forward and grazes Tancredo with a combo. Tancredo wants none of the stand up and clinches with Garret Jones to then savagely throw him down to the ground. Souza attempts to drop a fist on Garret Jones, but misses and lands in his guard. Souza takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Joness guard. It doesn't pay off as Garret makes his way to standing. Garret narrowly dodges a cross from Tancredo Souza, but falls catching him in his guard. Garret Jones attempts an armbar. Tancredo time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Joness guard. Garret Jones lands a stiff elbow while on his back. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
Garret Jones snaps back the head of Souza with a stiff jab. Garret Jones connects with a series of punches forcing Tancredo into a clinch. Tancredo Souza places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Tancredo Souza works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Tancredo Souza receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Garret. Souza is on the receiving end of an elbow from Jones opening up a cut. The ref stops for the doctor to take a look at it. The doctor calls the fight.
