Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Dominique attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Jodoins strikes. A strong elbow forces Gary to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Marchal attempts to drop a fist on Jodoin, but misses and lands in his guard. "Juggernaut" is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Jodoin dodges some ground strikes from Dominique, and sends a few back of his own. "Juggernaut" attempts an armbar. Dominique Marchal time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Jodoins guard. "Juggernaut" attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Jodoin catches a leg kick from Marchal, and puts him on the mat. Dominique Marchal attempts to transition to the butterfly guard but Gary Jodoin is too quick and takes half guard. Gary is able to slip into mount from the half guard. "Juggernaut" maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Dominique Marchal gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Gary peppers Marchal with several shots to the face. Dominique Marchal starts to wiggle out of back control, Jodoin lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Jodoin connects with a series of punches forcing Marchal into a clinch. Dominique attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Jodoins strikes. Dominique attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Gary Jodoin pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Jodoin snaps back the head of Dominique with a stiff jab. "Juggernaut" circles Marchal, landing jabs at will. Gary takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. "Juggernaut" connects with a right that puts Marchal off balance tumbling to the mat, as "Juggernaut" towers over him. Gary Jodoin drops a huge strike to Marchals chin, landing into his guard. Round 3 comes to a close.
