Round 1 Masayuki takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. The fighters circle each other. Kurata is staggered by a jab to the chin. The fighters circle each other. Clark snaps back the head of Kurata with a stiff jab. Masayuki throws a strike that Clark Martel slips and then uses a Kosoto Gake trip and falls into "The Dragons" guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Clark Martel is staggered by a jab to the chin. Masayuki stuffs a shot from Clark and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Clark Martel attempts an armbar. Masayuki Kurata time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into "Metal Jaws" guard. Masayuki Kurata defends a triangle attempt, throwing Martels straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Clark Martel is able to hold him to half guard. Kurata tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Masayuki slips out of half guard and into side control. Martel gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Martel starts to wiggle out of back control, "The Dragon" lets him escape putting them both on their feet. "The Dragon" attempts a takedown but slips, and Clark Martel backs away. Clark Martel is standing over "The Dragon". Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Masayuki connects with a strong right hook. Martel narrowly dodges a cross from Masayuki Kurata, but falls catching him in his guard. Martel shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Clark sinks a kimura, but cannot finish. He settles for a switch into mount. Masayuki Kurata shifts his head and hips to keep Clark off balance and unable to land strikes. Masayuki Kurata gets pummeled by the fists of Clark. Masayuki Kurata gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it.Round 3 comes to a close.
