Round 1
Oliveira sprawls a takedown attempt from "The Sabre tooth". "The Sabre tooth" eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Gene narrowly dodges a cross from Marcos, but falls catching him in his guard. "The Sabre tooth" is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Smith lands an omoplata but Oliveira rolls out of it leading both fighters to a stand up. "The Sabre tooth" keeps Oliveira at a distance with some well timed jabs. "The Sabre tooth" shoots in on "Deathtrap" who sprawls well and lands multiple outside strikes. "The Sabre tooth" gives up on the shot and rolls to his guard. Smith sets in an omaplata, forcing Marcos Oliveira to roll through, giving Smith side control. Oliveira is able to get back to full guard. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
"The Sabre tooth" keeps Marcos Oliveira at a distance with some well timed jabs. "The Sabre tooth" narrowly dodges a cross from Marcos, but falls catching him in his guard. "The Sabre tooth" connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Oliveira backs out of the guard, and chooses to stand with his opponent, allowing him to his feet. The fighters circle each other. "The Sabre tooth" narrowly dodges a cross from Oliveira, but falls catching him in his guard. Gene Smith sets in an omaplata, forcing Marcos Oliveira to roll through, giving Gene Smith side control. Oliveira gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
Oliveira attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. "The Sabre tooth" takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Smith slides his knee across the body of Marcos and takes full mount. Gene secures his position. Marcos gives his back up trying to escape the mount. "Deathtrap" carefully protects himself from Genes strikes. Gene Smith throws a few punches opening Marcos up to a deep rear naked choke. Marcos can only tap out.
