Round 1
Maeda lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Bart is cut open under the eye by a standing elbow strike. Hisao fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Davis. "The Hanoi Handjob" breaks away from the clinch while delivering a knee. Davis is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Maeda lays into Barts thighs with some well timed kicks while Bart is grounded. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Bart Davis is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines Bart Davis can continue. Bart Davis fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Maeda. A strong elbow forces Davis to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Hisao Maeda lays into Barts thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Bart Davis does so. Hisao Maeda snaps back the head of Bart Davis with a stiff jab. Hisao Maeda fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Bart. Bart gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Maeda grabs the plum and lands several knees to the legs Bart Davis. The round comes to an end.

Round 3
"The Hanoi Handjob" dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of Davis. Davis is rocked by a standing elbow strike. "The Hanoi Handjob" presses forward landing a couple more strikes, but Davis survives the onslaught with well timed blocks. "The Hanoi Handjob" circles Bart Davis, mixing jabs with body shots. Round 3 comes to a close.
