Round 1 Reynaldo loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Wright for the mistake. Wright has side control. Wright slides his knee across the body of Cardoso and takes full mount. Calvin Wright secures his position. Reynaldo gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Wright tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Reynaldo tripods up, causing Calvin Wright to fall forward. As Calvin Wright tries to scramble up Reynaldo lands a lunging hook, putting Calvin Wright on the ground. Reynaldo stands up and looks to the ref to force Calvin Wright into standing. The ref does not comply.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Calvin fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Cardoso. Wright receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Reynaldo. Calvin Wright attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Cardoso pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Reynaldo takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Calvin takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Reynaldo Cardoso throws a cross that easily dodged by Wright. Reynaldo presses forward and grazes Wright with a combo. Wright wants none of the stand up and clinches with Reynaldo to then savagely throw him down to the ground. Wright drops a powerful fist onto Cardoso. Reynaldos eyes roll back into his head, and this fight is over.
