Round 1 AJ Perry is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Shimuzu tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from AJ Perry that puts him on the floor. AJ lays into "Ryus" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Ken Shimuzu does so. Ken Shimuzu is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Perry prepares to pounce, but Ken Shimuzu gets his bearings just in time. AJ lays into "Ryus" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. "Ryu" does so. Perry connects with a series of punches forcing "Ryu" into a clinch. AJ Perry stomps the feet of Shimuzu. Ken Shimuzu attempts a knee but is taken down by a basic trip. AJ lands in half guard. Perry tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. "Da Jay Jay" is able to slip into mount from the half guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Shimuzu is staggered by a jab to the chin. After dodging a jab-cross, Perry lands a kick to the liver of Shimuzu who steps back and begins to take a knee. Perry rushes forward to capitalize but Shimuzu stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. "Da Jay Jay" lands a solid kick to the front leg of Ken Shimuzu. Shimuzu lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Perry lands a solid kick to the front leg of Ken. AJ circles Ken Shimuzu, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Shimuzu weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Shimuzu unleashes a flurry of punches on AJ. Ken Shimuzu parries AJs jab and connect with a cross. The round comes to an end.
