Round 1 Lacaz fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Hector. Rickson works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Rickson Lacaz recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Rickson Lacaz attempts a takedown but slips, and Gracie backs away. Gracie is standing over Rickson Lacaz. "Dan Quisenberry" drops a huge strike to Lacazs chin, landing into his guard. "Dan Quisenberry" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Lacazs guard. It doesn't pay off as Rickson Lacaz makes his way to standing. A couple of powerful body shots forces Rickson Lacaz back to the corner. "Dan Quisenberry" swims to double underhooks. Rickson Lacaz cannot stop "Dan Quisenberry" from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Lacaz goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Hector slips out at the last second. Two strong elbows from Hector Gracie dazes Rickson. Hector Gracie transitions into side control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Hector connects with a series of punches forcing Rickson Lacaz into a clinch. Rickson Lacaz works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Gracie dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Rickson Lacaz standing over him. Rickson Lacaz attempts to drop a fist on Hector, but misses and lands in his guard. Lacaz tries to pass guard but Hector stops him with a well timed punch. Hector shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. While caught in Hector Gracies guard, Rickson gets hit with a vicious elbow. Lacaz presses the action while in the guard, but Hector is able to switch him into mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Rickson Lacaz dodges a jab-cross combo from Hector and connects with a front snap kick, sending Hector stumbling backwards. Hector circles Rickson Lacaz, mixing jabs with body shots. Hector Gracie throws a cross that easily dodged by Lacaz. Lacaz throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Hector Gracie puts Lacaz on the mat giving his back up. Round 3 is finished.
