Round 1 Long catches a leg kick from Mark, and puts him on the mat. Long attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Mark slips out of it at the last moment. Mark starts to create some distance with his legs, Long capitalizes by passing to side control. Carl Long lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Carl attempts an armbar, but Mark Howard stops the attempt. Carl uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Mark shifts his head and hips to keep Long off balance and unable to land strikes. Carl Long secures his position. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Mark Howard throws a cross that easily dodged by Carl. Carl locks around the waist of Mark. He sneaks his foot behind Marks and trips him to the floor, taking side control. Long lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Howard gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Long peppers Howard with several shots to the face. Mark tries to stand up but Long plants him back down with several strikes. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Carl receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Howard. A strong elbow forces Mark Howard to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Carl attempts to drop a fist on Mark, but misses and lands in his guard. Howard begins to work the rubber guard. Mark Howard shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Long is working a furious pace inside of the guard of Mark. Carl Long drops some good punches while being caught in the guard.Round 3 comes to a close.
