Round 1 Jesus connects with a series of punches forcing Manabu Koizumi into a clinch. Jesus Vasquez lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Jesus recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Jesus ducks and weaves through a quick combo from "Maniac" and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Jesus Vasquez lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by "Maniac". "Maniac" circles Jesus Vasquez, landing jabs at will. Vasquez connects with a right that puts Koizumi off balance tumbling to the mat, as Vasquez towers over him. Jesus pounces with some severe ground and pound forcing the ref to stop the fight.
