Round 1 A jab from Azevedo is blocked and a cross is returned by Peter. Azevedo is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Ryan. Ryan now has side control. Alberto Azevedo takes a few knees to the body while under Peter Ryans side control. Azevedo gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Alberto carefully protects himself from Peters strikes. Peter Ryan slides off to the side of Alberto Azevedo and lands several heavy knees into his ribs. Before he can lose the position, Peter Ryan switches back to full back control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Alberto Azevedo snaps back the head of Peter with a stiff jab. Peter Ryan is staggered by a jab to the chin. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Round 3 Azevedo throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Peter puts Azevedo on the mat giving his back up. Peter slides off to the side of Azevedo and lands several heavy knees into his ribs. Before he can lose the position, Peter switches back to full back control. Alberto starts to wiggle out of back control, Peter Ryan lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Alberto Azevedo shoots but Peter stuffs it, eventually using a whizzer to work to side control. Peter Ryan slides his knee across the body of Alberto Azevedo and takes full mount. Ryan secures his position. Alberto Azevedo gives his back up trying to escape the mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
