Round 1 Gary Ross fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Bernier to a corner. Bernier swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Gary Ross tries to pass guard but Jacob Bernier stops him with a well timed punch. Gary takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Berniers guard. It doesn't pay off as Jacob Bernier makes his way to standing. Jacob eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Gary Ross. Bernier circles Gary Ross, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Bernier attempts to press in but Gary uses a inside reaping to put Bernier on the canvas. Gary hops to side control. Jacob Bernier takes a few knees to the body while under Garys side control. Jacob Bernier tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Gary throws a cross that easily dodged by Jacob Bernier. Garys legs are wobbled by a strong hook to the temple then a shovel punch to the jaw. Jacob parries Rosss jab and connect with a cross. Jacob parries Gary Rosss jab and connect with a cross. Jacob Bernier takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Gary Ross is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Bernier explodes forward with a superman punch that drops Gary Ross to the canvas. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Gary narrowly dodges a cross from Jacob, but falls catching him in his guard. Gary dodges some ground strikes from Jacob Bernier, and sends a few back of his own. Gary Ross attempts to create some space from his guard, but Jacob Bernier sees the opening and passes to full mount. Gary Ross gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Bernier peppers Gary Ross with several shots to the face. Gary Ross slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jacob Bernier lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. While tied up, Gary Ross is met with a hard uppercut. Jacob Bernier parries Rosss jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Gary Ross. Gary Ross rolls to his back with Jacob Bernier standing over him. Bernier kicks at the thighs of Ross. The round comes to an end.
