Round 1 Walter Thomas takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Long stuffs a shot from Walter Thomas and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Walter Thomas is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Long. Robbie Long defends a triangle attempt, throwing Thomass straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Walter is able to hold him to half guard. Walter tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. "Rootless" slips out of half guard and into side control. Thomas gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Thomas starts to wiggle out of back control, Long lets him escape putting them both on their feet. "Rootless" attempts a takedown, but Thomas clumsily falls down without much provocation. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Robbie Long attempts a takedown, but Thomas clumsily falls down without much provocation. Robbie drops a huge strike to Walters chin, landing into his guard. Long drops a few strong punches, opening up Walters guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Walter gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Robbie tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Walter Thomas starts to wiggle out of back control, Robbie lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Thomas circles Robbie Long, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Long is hit with a jab and then taken down with a strong trip takedown. Walter attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "Rootless" slips out of it at the last moment. "Rootless" sinks a deep kimura, but Walter Thomas slides out. This gives "Rootless" the chance to switch to half guard. Thomas tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Thomas slips out of half guard and into side control. Long gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Long starts to wiggle out of back control, Walter lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Robbie Long presses forward and grazes Thomas with a combo. Thomas wants none of the stand up and clinches with Robbie Long to then savagely throw him down to the ground. The bell signals the end of round 3.
