Round 1 The fighters circle each other. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Rainer Arndt drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Simmons sets a guillotine choke but Rainer Arndt slips out at the last moment. Rainer Arndt is now caught in guard. Simmons backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Rainer Arndt attempts to clinch, but Arthur Simmons connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Simmons lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. After dodging a jab, Arthur Simmons lands a kick to the liver of Rainer Arndt who steps back only to take a knee. Arthur Simmons rushes forward to capitalize but Rainer Arndt falls to his back to avoid the onslaught. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Arndt sends Arthur to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Arndt pulls out of the guard of Simmons, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Simmons. Arthur attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Arndt ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Simmons to the mat, and his back. Arndt peppers Arthur Simmons with several shots to the face. Arndt lands one solid shot the chin. Arthur Simmons goes limp and it's over.
