Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Carl receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Ustin. Carl escapes the clinch and creates some distance. "The Crushin Russian" is struck by a ball kick from Carl Parent that opens him up for a push kick to the midsection. "The Crushin Russian" moves in to press the action, but Carl Parent lands a heavy back kick. Carl lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Ustin Medvedev attempts a takedown but slips, and Carl backs away. Carl is standing over Ustin Medvedev. Carl lays into "The Crushin Russians" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. "The Crushin Russian" does so. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Ustin parries Parents jab and connect with a cross. Medvedev snaps back the head of Carl Parent with a stiff jab. After dodging a jab, Carl Parent lands a kick to the ribs of "The Crushin Russian" who winces in pain. After dodging a jab-cross, Carl lands a kick to the liver of Medvedev who steps back and begins to take a knee. Carl rushes forward to capitalize but Medvedev stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. "The Crushin Russian" connects with a strong right hook. A looping right hook from "The Crushin Russian" sends Carl to the mat. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Carl connects with a right that puts Ustin off balance tumbling to the mat, as Carl towers over him. Parent lays into Medvedevs thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Medvedev does so. Parent is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Ustin tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Parent that puts him on the floor. Carl lays into Ustin Medvedevs thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Ustin does so. Parent fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Ustin. Carl grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that cuts Ustin Medvedev under the eye. Medvedev attempts a knee but is taken down by a basic trip. Parent lands in half guard. Ustin tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Carl Parent opens a cut over the eye of Ustin. The doctor takes a look at it, and says he's okay to continue. The bell signals the end of round 3.
