Round 1 Paul sends Drew Jenkins to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Drew is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Patterson. Drew Jenkins attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Jenkins gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Drew Jenkins tries to explode out the backdoor but Patterson sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Drew Jenkins falls flat to protect himself. Jenkins is able to make it back to the standing position. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Jenkins connects with a strong right hook. Drew narrowly dodges a cross from Paul Patterson, but falls catching him in his guard. Jenkins goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Paul Patterson slips out at the last second. Paul Patterson presses the action while in the guard, but Jenkins is able to switch him into mount. Drew secures his position. Paul Patterson gives his back up trying to escape the mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Paul is staggered by a jab to the chin. Paul Patterson throws a cross that easily dodged by Drew. Paul Patterson throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Jenkins puts Paul Patterson on the mat giving his back up. Drew Jenkins lands a series of heavy punches forcing Paul Patterson to roll to his back, giving Drew Jenkins mount. Jenkins secures his position. Paul Patterson attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Round 3 is over.
