Round 1 A couple of powerful body shots forces Kenny back to the corner. Gary Jones swims to double underhooks. Kenny cannot stop Gary Jones from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Kenny Morgan works for a triangle but Jones throws Kenny Morgans straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Morgan tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Gary slips out of half guard and into side control. Jones drops some hammer fists on Kenny. Gary Jones slides his knee across the body of Kenny and takes full mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Gary shoots a takedown from a distance putting Kenny on the ground. Kenny works for a triangle but Gary Jones throws Morgans straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Jones tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Gary slips out of half guard and into side control. Kenny takes a few knees to the body while under Garys side control. Gary drops some hammer fists on Morgan. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Kenny attempts a takedown but slips, and Jones backs away. Jones is standing over Kenny. Gary drops a huge strike to Kenny Morgans chin, landing into his guard. Gary attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Kenny Morgan slips out of it at the last moment. Jones passes through Morgans guard into mount. Kenny pulls Gary Jones close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Morgan gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Gary Jones lands a series of heavy punches forcing Morgan to roll to his back, giving Gary Jones mount. Gary Jones telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Kenny Morgan gives up his back to stop the attempt.Round 3 comes to a close.
