Round 2 Cherry snaps back the head of Chael with a stiff jab. Torres is staggered by a jab to the chin. Rip throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Chael. "The Sonnen" is staggered by a jab to the chin. Rip is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Cherry shoots for a single leg but Chael Torres is able to hop away, defending well. Cherry takes the opportunity to execute a difficult double-ankle pick. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Cherry moves in to press the action, but Chael lands a heavy back kick. Chael Torres is staggered by a jab to the chin. Chael Torres throws a cross that easily dodged by Rip. The fighters circle each other. "The Sonnen" connects with a strong right hook. Rip sends Torres to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Round 3 is over.
